DIGITRANSPORT Application which is an innovative product seeks to cater for these issues. It provides a user friendly and easy to use interface to track passengers in a vehicle. It keeps digital record of passengers that board a vehicle for future references and investigations.

The difficulty in the identification of passengers who board a vehicle is a major problem for the road transport services. This is due to lack of digital data to track passengers unlike the airports.

As a result of this lack on the part of the road transport services:

  • Victims of road accidents are not easily identified not to talk of contacting their relatives
  • There is delay in police investigations during an incident involving road transport
  • It is very difficult to know transport history of passengers in case of any contact tracing by the health services to save lives
